Kyle Gibbs was born in Panama City and raised between Gulf and Wakulla counties. The Forgotten Coast is not a market this company expanded into. It is where he is from.

850 Media Productions runs out of Tallahassee, Florida now, and it started the way a lot of production companies start: a camera, a subject worth filming, and no idea what to charge for it.

What it turned into is a company that spends most of its days on job sites, in shipyards, on acreage, and at ceremonies where nothing gets a second take. Contractors, marine builders, land brokers, school districts, and trades across the Panhandle, the Big Bend, and South Georgia.

The size of the crew is set by the job, not by a payroll. A single-camera interview goes out with one operator. A ceremony with a podium, three angles and a board feed goes out with the people who are genuinely best at those things, pulled from the freelancers this region actually has. Each of them gets hired for the one thing they are excellent at, which is why a bigger job does not mean a thinner result.

The documentary work is still here, and it is the reason the commercial work looks the way it does. A progress video and a short film are the same craft pointed at different problems: find the story, shoot it honestly, and cut out everything that is not load-bearing.

What does not change is who you deal with. One number to call, one person accountable for the result, and that person is on the job with you.
