Keel Laying Ceremony

A keel laying is the ceremonial start of a vessel's construction, and a shipyard does not re-stage a milestone for a camera. Dignitaries, the anthem, a program with one take on everything. The coverage has to be right the first time.

This one ran multi-camera at Eastern Shipbuilding in Panama City, with a feed off the podium so every word from the program came back clean. Job-site rules, security clearance, and a schedule set by the yard, not the crew filming it.

Shipyards are a place this company keeps getting hired back into, and it is the environment that separates real industrial coverage from a showreel: you cannot fake having been cleared to stand there.
